I am no expert in make-up really but with so many blogs and vlogs about make-up, I am starting to get curious about it. Anyhow, let me share with you some of the things I learned about make-up essentials for newbies like.

Check out my list to give you a guide of what makeup tools you should start with.

1. CONCEALER AND FOUNDATION
The best way to find your perfect match is to leave it to the professionals. Stop by any cosmetics counter and ask for help finding your shade. You can also swipe a few colors vertically across your jawline, and whichever one is barely visible is your best bet.

Beginners can avoid the risk of a caked-on foundation by adding a nontransparent concealer to your kit. Remember, concealer is the only way to get rid of dark circles. And while it may just be a temporary fix, with the right technique you can hide them completely.

2. MOISTURIZER AND PRIMER
With great skin care comes great makeup. Prepare your skin with a good slathering of moisturizer and primer. Both will ensure a flawless base that keeps makeup in place all day.

3. EYELINER AND MASCARA
Eyes are sensitive especially on the rims and inner lash lines, so buy a soft pencil that glides on without any pressure and be sure that the product is labeled as ophthalmologist-tested. Mascara thickens as it's exposed to air over time, which leads to clumps. If yours is like that, throw it and try a different brand.

4. BRUSHES AND TOOLS
With the right brush for the job, you can perform makeup miracles. Do invest in a good brush set in order for your to apply your makeup properly.

5. BLUSH AND HIGHLIGHTER
Achieve a subtle and healthy glow to your skin with the right shade of blush. Try a lighter shade and skip any with shimmer if you want a natural look. A slightly shimmery cream highlighter can help you in many ways from slimming your nose, lifting your brows and sculpting your cheeks.

6. EYESHADOW PALETTE
The perfect everyday shadow is just a few shades darker than your skin tone -- go light brown for darker skin, a golden beige for medium skin, or light apricot for fair skin.

7. MAKEUP WIPES
For those nights when you’re too lazy to wash your face, makeup wipes will help you remove your makeup and keep your skin safe and healthy.

8. EYELASH CURLER
Most eyelashes grow outward, not upward, so applying mascara without curling your lashes won't provide the same impact. Also, to achieve longer and fuller lashes for easier curling, check out Idol Lash, which you could use as your daily liquid eyeliner. The before and after pictures using it will simply amaze you.

9. NUDE AND RED LIPSTICK
I have to agree that lipstick must be the first on the list of makeup essentials. No kit is complete without your go-to lip colors right? Most recommended shade is nude and red, so be sure to have those on your makeup pouch!

There goes my own list of makeup essentials. I hope you enjoyed reading and learned something from it. How about you? What's your makeup essentials? Feel free to share in the comment box below.
