Rants and Raves of a Bum

Peruvian hair weave comes in different lengths, shapes and is one of the top quality weaves in the market. Their authentic silkiness and shine are their most coveted attributes making the Peruvian hair weaves virtually meaningless when these qualities are lost. Applying the right care and handling techniques to the Peruvian weaves when they are in use and when they are in storage is vital to maintaining the weaves' appearance and avoiding the hair getting frizzy.

Below are some tips to help keep those Peruvian weaves soft, bouncy and shiny. Care for weaves depends on the shape and length of the weaves. Straight short weaves are generally a lot less stressful than their curly counterparts.

Daily care. Always make sure to apply quality, water-based moisturizer before you comb your weaves each morning when they are in use. Comb gently from the roots to the tips, holding the hair down at the root with your free hand. This removes pressure from the weft while brushing. The key to moisturizing is to avoid products with too much oil. Excessive oil makes the weaves appear limp and destroy the hairs' color and also untangle each night also.

Washing weaves. The best part of Peruvian weaves would be that they can be treated same as one's natural hair. Washing should be done once a week and in the dry season, more often. Peruvian weaves can be washed while on the head, dried and styled same as the natural hair. Use cold water to wash the hair, this maintains its shine. Apply enough shampoo and untangle hair either with a wide-toothed comb or with fingers, combing still from roots to tips. Rinse out shampoo after wash and apply conditioner. Leave the conditioner in for some time, hair covered with a shower cap. Rinse out the conditioner and air dry the locks. Apply oil immediately after the hair has dried out, comb the hairs out, put up in rolls - in the case of wavy weaves, - or part hairs in four parts and wrap around your head.

Deep conditioning. To attain a deeper cleansing, mix conditioner with essential oils and apply luxuriously to the scalp and weaves, and exposed own hair. Put on a shower cap and leave on for at least 30 minutes. Rinse hair out and untangle, applying hair oil and styling at will. Deep conditioning is essential to maintain the healthy look of the weaves. It restores moisture and shines to the strands.

Styling. Try as much as possible to style virgin Peruvian weaves immediately after washing. In other cases, use a spray can to moisturize hair vendors before styling.

Virgin hair can be straightened out, dyed and curled at will, as long as the hair is well-taken cared of.
While straightening and curling with heat, use a heat protector like aloe vera. Dyeing should be done by an experienced hair stylist since if done wrongly could damage the hair. Even when in storage, brush and moisturize your extensions, for longevity. Avoid excessive brushing of extra curly hair, that could make it lose its curl and a water-based moisturizer is a better choice than the alcohol based one.

Beginners need patience and lots of practice to play the guitar. Playing the guitar is not as simple as switching from one wind instrument to another. If you previously could play a recorder and other wind musical instruments, switching to the guitar may pose a challenge. However, with practice and great tips, you can learn to play the guitar.
Many books and apps available on playing the guitar can help you master the art of playing this wind instrument. Many websites also provide information and strategies on how you can learn the basics, do things right, and above all, develop the patience it takes to play the instrument.
Regardless of the type of music the pros play, one thing they have in common is the good technique of playing the guitar. Evidently, they take basic requirements for playing the guitar seriously. Here are the top 5 tips to learning how to play the guitar with a good technique:
Top 5 Tips to Help Hone Your Guitar Playing Skills
1. Avoid the Death Grip
If you are right-handed, the death grip is most likely to be felt on your left hand. The first time you play a guitar, your wrists and fingers might ache. Pressing the strings on the fret board for the first time isn’t easy. Hook your thumb over the top of the board to leverage your fingers and wrists naturally, preventing aches.
Press the strings at the finger print position using your fingers, but not fingerprints because it produces the death grip. Place your thumb at the back of the guitar’s neck to use the tip of your fingers to play more accurately from a suitable grip position. Although it’ll seem a bit difficult at first, you will get used to it.
2. Use the Correct Fingering
Guitar specialists have figured out, over many years, the fingers suitable for producing different notes. It means that certain notes on the fret board are meant for certain fingers. Using the right fingering is not only about playing the right chords, but also a way to bring out variations in your notes.
3. Stand Up and Sit Down while Rehearsing

Place the guitar slung across your shoulder to change your posture. Stand up while playing if it is your dream to stand in front of an audience one day. If seated, avoid the temptation to watch your hands or fingers while playing the guitar. When playing the guitar while standing, it is not easy to see your left hand.
Therefore, if you tend to look at your fingers while playing the guitar, you might find it hard to play it while standing. Adjust your guitar strip to a good angle for playing. Slinging it down to your knees seems good, but is not a good position to play.
4. Do not Speed
If you want to master playing the guitar with a good technique, slow down. Don't frustrate yourself playing faster like others. Mastering the good playing technique is about learning the right notes and mastering difficult chords.
5. Practice More Often
It takes lots of practice to develop guitar-playing skills. The more you spare time to play the guitar, the more you learn to play the wind instrument. Practicing with your mind and fingers is the key to learning the good technique of playing a guitar and becoming a professional.
Set short term goals for your modern & computer based guitar lessons online. Be disciplined with your practice, particularly when you start losing focus or becoming lazy. Even just 10 minutes a day of practice, you can learn what it takes to play the guitar like a pro.

We’re encouraged to follow our dreams at all costs. To live life any other way is not an option. And while this is, generally speaking, good advice, it’s worth keeping in mind that there’s more to life than being a success; and that while pursuing grand ambitions is admirable, there are significant risks attached, too. You should give your all to your business, but don’t jeopardize your long-term financial security and happiness. Below, we take a look at some of the areas that’ll require serious consideration.

Source: Pexels.com

Think of the Family

If you have a family, then, of course, you want to give them the best life possible. You may start a business with this end in mind, and proceed to work all the hours in the day trying to make it a reality. But keep in mind that your family is going to need and want more than just money from you. They want to spend time with you! If you think that you’re able to build a business without compromising the time you spend with your loved ones, then okay - but be sure to keep those hours down when the business is up and running; they have a habit of creeping up.

Significant Investment

All business is a risk, one that requires a lot of money. Hopefully, you’ll have a lot of outside funding to make up the bulk of start-up costs. However, it’s just a fact of business that you’ll have to stump up some of your own money too. It’s imperative that you avoid spending any sum of money that would lead to financial ruin. Even if you may have full faith in the prospects of your business, it’s never a wise move to throw all of your money on one gamble.

When the Ball is Rolling

Once you’ve got your business up, running, and making money, then you might think that the gambling part of the venture is over. Not so. You’re never going to be out there in the business world all on your own; you work within a system of systems, and, if you’re not careful, then it may bite you. To begin, you’ll want to ensure you have substantial insurance coverage, and then work with an asset protection attorney like those available at HackardLaw.com. When things go wrong, you’ll be in a position to rebuff the setbacks without taking a heavy financial hit.

Diversify Your Income

Your business might be bringing in plenty of money, but don’t just let that cash sit in the back. Make it work for you! Learn how to invest your money sensibly, buy real estate, and all the other smart ways to diversify your income. If the business does eventually fold, it won’t be the end of your financial life as you know it.

When To Call It Quits

It’s tempting to try to salvage everything when things take a downward turn, but remember that a smart person knows when to call it quits. If it’s the financially sensible thing to do, then look at ending your company and minimize the financial loss.

When young global smartphone brand Vivo entered the mobile industry, the market was dominated by two or three names. But in a matter of years, Vivo changed the game.

Vivo has been determined to break barriers and introduce technology that ushered the industry into the future. After all, it was Vivo that introduced a 20-megapixel dual front camera in V5 Plus and a 24MP front camera in V7, V7+, and V9.

The V5 is the first smartphone with a 20MP camera.

The V5 was then followed by the release of the V5Plus (left) and V5s (right), both with 20MP selfie camera. The V5Plus, meanwhile, has a 20MP+8MP dual rear camera.

Aside from the selfie camera, Vivo also paid attention to the users’ need for a bigger screen. Earlier this year, Vivo released the ultimate iteration of a concept smartphone, the APEX™ FullView™, which nearly has a 100% screen-to-body display. The V9, Vivo’s newest flagship, is getting closer to goal with its 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Vivo is also the first to introduce the in-display fingerprint scanner that gives users another method to unlock their smartphones.

Vivo then introduced the first smartphones with 24MP front camera, the V7+ (left) and V7 (right).

Vivo then released the upgrade to its cameras, the V9 with a 24MP AI Selfie Camera and 16MP+5MP dual rear camera.

It is still a wonder what Vivo will do next. For instance, it wowed the tech world with its bezel-less APEX concept smartphone because of its pop-up selfie camera to achieve the 100% screen-to-body ratio.

Helping the brand unlock the next best thing in the mobile industry are 2,200 dedicated research and development personnel in several R&D centers worldwide—in San Diego, United States and in China, specifically in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Beijing.

With all its development, it is no doubt that the young smartphone brand is already leading the pack to the future.

So, why are you being overlooked for a promotion? Read on to discover some of the reasons why you may not have been considered for a promotion so you can make the changes necessary to put yourself on the top of the list.
  1. You don’t put your ideas across - A lot of people are scared to share their ideas in the workplace because they fear that they will get rejected. However, the best entrepreneurs in the world have had their ideas dismissed before. Ti is better to share your thoughts and give suggestions as opposed to remaining quiet and not suggesting anything. When looking for someone to promote, your employer is looking for someone that has an innovative side and can offer the company something that will move it forward.
  2. You have not invested in yourself – If your company does not offer training opportunities, you should seek them yourself. Nowadays, it is easy to advance your skills thanks to the Internet. You can do anything from an accounting to online MSN degree, and so you can really progress your knowledge and skills irrespective of the industry you are involved in and without impacting your current line of work.
  3. You have not made it known that you want to progress – Do not assume that your boss knows you want a promotion. You may assume that surely everyone wants a promotion, but this is not the case. A lot of people are happy to remain in the job they have been in for a number of years, and your boss may assume that you fall into this category. Make it known that you are keen to work your way up in the company.
  4. You only do what is expected of you – As mentioned in the introduction, you may do everything that your job role states. However, if you are to put yourself at the top of the queue for a promotion, you need to go above and beyond what is expected of you. This includes finishing your tasks ahead of schedule, as well as offering up your ideas and assistance on other projects.
As you can see, there are many different reasons why you may not have been considered for a promotion. Hopefully, you have got to the bottom of why you haven’t been offered a step up from your current job role. Use the advice that has been provided above to make some changes and you should find that your boss starts to notice your efforts more and your chances of getting a promotion will increase.

The secret to life is expecting the unexpected. After all, that’s what it is. It’s a series of surprises, bumps in the road, headaches, hurdles, and epochs of uncertainty, and all of these tend to have a financial impact. That’s the overarching reason you need to have an emergency fund behind you. It’s the one thing that can protect you from all those unexpected nasties, no matter how massive or minute they may be. It’s what will take the heavy landing out of each bump in the road and stop you having to scrape together this or that just to get by in your lowest moments.

Don’t believe us, just have a look at this list of reasons why an emergency fund could help you:

1. The Escape From Debt
Debt is the big epidemic of our generation and trying to get out of debt is the unsung battle most people get engaged with. That’s where an emergency fund comes in handy. It will prevent you from adding to your debt when any unexpected expenses crop up. Think of it like this: it’s easier to put extra money toward your debt when you have a cushion for unexpected expenses.

2. One Income Only
We live in a two salary society, so if you only have one source of income in your household an emergency fund is absolutely essential. It’s what will help you stay afloat should you get made redundant, suffer an illness, or any number of things. As a sort of baseline, we recommend having a year’s worth of expenses saved up.

3. Keep Your Home
As an unfortunate as it is, foreclosures have become a reality for so many homeowners. But the only way that a home can be foreclosed if any mortgage payments are missed. Of course, if you’re going through this scenario already, your first port of call should be visiting DicksonLegal.com today but, if you are hoping to prevent this from happening, you need to have an emergency fund in place. It will allow you to keep paying your mortgage no matter what sort of unexpected things happens.

4. Fallback For Freelancers
The world is moving at the speed of light toward this new gig economy. It’s freelancers, self-employed and contractors galore. But as amazing as the freedom is, this does come with one major problem: you have no employment safety net. That’s why it is good to have an emergency fund saved up. But don’t just have this as a static savings account. Pay into it based on what you know about the future. For example, if you know there is a quiet period in the year, make sure you pay more into this in the months leading up.

5. Long-Distance Family

Travelling can be super-expensive, especially if you are having to book a last-minute seat on a plane or train, which can happen in the case of emergencies. That’s where an emergency fund can really come in handy and allow you to make an unforeseen trip home-home without it affecting the rest of your financials.
